Terry Nowakowski of Zephyrhillis got more than an earful when he tried to enter his home after calling his new girlfriend, he got an antler full.
When he tried to break into the home he shared with his ex-girlfriend Chelsea Harrison after she locked him out, she pulled the mounted deer head off the wall and attacked him with it.
According to police records and the St Petersburg Times, Harrison became angry when her former partner went outside to call his new girlfriend, angering Harrison, who then locked him out of the house.
Nowakowski said Harrison locked him out of the home and punched him in the face when he attempted to enter by removing a window screen. Nowakowski said he then attempted to break down the door and was confronted inside by Harrison wielding the mounted deer head.
Harrison "began striking him in the face and body with the ends of the antlers until she lost her grip dropping it to the floor," the sheriff's office report states.
Nowakowski had cuts and swelling on his face from the attack, deputies said.
Harrison was charged with domestic battery and ordered held without bail.Just in time for Christmas. Oh, deer!
